Be careful not to turn your buildings back on the waterfront though - your last 2 posts seem to show a loading dock/ security area abutting the river, with an entrance only on one side. Your site has so much more potential than that - think of it as a catalyst to revitalise not just the red hook area but also the waterfront, and almost imagine it as part of a riverside walk (evident in your Waterfront research post). Its probably worth overlaying these potential links to the waterfront and to existing access routes with your building and see if you can refine it to suit. The area around your building and how your building interacts with it is as important as the spaces inside.
